We are still under Alameda County COVID-19 restrictions for group meetings, and are not allowed to hold open enrollment forklift instructor classes in Oakland because the training room is non-compliant.  Feel free to email or call (925-838-8859) with any questions about forklift operator/instructor certification training and compliance.  –  R. P. Jasinski, OSHA Authorized Instructor

"The employer shall ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of training and workplace evaluation, done in an equipment and site-specific manner". (excerpt summary - OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178; CalOSHA GISO 3668)

LiftSafe Inc.® forklift safety training consultants provide a proven method for training forklift operators and, once implemented, assures that your company is in compliance with Federal and State OSHA requirements. In addition, we provide training materials and videos for forklift instructors.

The forklift training LiftSafe provides is only done on-site, at employer locations, and it is the employer's responsibility to see to it you get trained on their equipment prior to use. This is because OSHA requires the training to be equipment and site specific, therefore LiftSafe does not offer individual training. Some forklift dealer offer forklift safety classes that may help you get a job, but you must still be trained at the company where you will be employed before you can operate the company's forklift.
